Strawberry compote no-churn ice cream with a whiskey dark chocolate sauce

Strawberry compote no-churn ice cream with a whisky chocolate fudge sauce // TermiNatetor Kitchen

Hello, friend.

I’m back, with a recipe and two exciting pieces of news. If you follow me (on any form of social media for that matter) you’ll know that I am absolutely terrible at updating people on what is happening in my life. It’s half me forgetting to and half contemplating if there is anything of importance worth sharing. What I do want to share is that I’ve been thinking (now that’s a scary thought!) a lot about the blog and where I want to see it go in the coming months. My goal is to expand upon it. I hope to go from a sole “food blog” and evolve it into a more “lifestyle blog”, with posts on photography, writing, style, behind the scenes, travels, reviews, videos, and etc. Will that ever happen? Frankly, whose to say. I’m not entirely sure what I want to do! I’m just a twenty-something with big dreams and a little blog. When I know, I will probably forget to tell you.

So I'm obsessed with this band. They're a Chicago-based rock band and, thanks to Penny, I can't stop listening to them. Check them out . ↷

Hi, friends.

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve written to you. What have I been up to you ask? Besides from school being an all-consuming monster which strives to devour my joy and my bank account, I have been doing a bunch of really exciting stuff on and off the blog! I’ve been photographing products for the brand Rosalynne Love, which has been an incredible experience. I have deliciously sweet recipes on both Breadsense, where I made strawberry compote & honeyed mascarpone on toast, and on Clabber Girls Baker's Blog, where I made chocolate chip cookie no churn ice cream sandwiches. Also, my first food column, Food for the Starving Artist, got published in this month’s issue of Local Wolves Magazine. Then outside the blog, I have just finalized a deal to photograph my first food event ever!! Oh yeah! I couldn’t be more excited. More details to come on that, but I’ll give you a hint: it’s all about soda.

Hello friend,

It’s been scorching out here in the Midwest. The sun’s ray beat down brutally. The temperature steadily rises above comfort levels. The sidewalks sizzle like oil in a hot iron skillet. The air is thick and heavy like breathing oatmeal. Heartbeats flutter faster as the air condition blows harder. Sweat drips down spines and tongues become dry and dehydrated. It’s the kind of weather fit for staying indoors, listening to jazz music on a record player, sipping on a tall glass of cold sweet tea, and enjoying the day away from the tumultuous weather. It’s time for ice cream.
